A day at Rhosili

Last sunday, to make the most of our last day of holidays, Sarah and I decided to go to the beach. I thought that it was a bit of a silly idea seeing as the temperature had not reached double figures for a while and it had also been snowing on and off since before christmas, but despite this we headed off. The drive was nice and there was even one point where I got to try out my rally skills when the road turned to ice. Rhosili turned out to be a stunning beach, well the beach was average, but its surroundings were stunning. The wind was very bracing, as Sarah described it, so we took a walk out along the headland to find a sheltered spot for a bite to eat. We decided after that a walk out to Worms Head point was a good idea and after a check of the tides we scrambled out across the causeway to the point. Their were no seals to see but we were afforded a nice panoramic view of Rhosili and the beach. After a quick scramble back across the causeway to beat the tide we headed back to the car to get out of the bracing wind. With only a minor annoyance of Sarah falling asleep midway through eye spy we made it home with no prob's.
