Gone

the builders set about destroying the beautiful Victorian tiled conservatory floor last week and now it is no more. They are now working on the outside and have almost finished the indoors. Hopefully they level the floor, then we can put tiles down and get the kitchen cupboards into the kitchen.

Top stack turned up on time to attack the chimney and to start installing the fire. after a couple of hours with the breaker and the chimney was opened up. I couldn't stay around, but when I turned up in the afternoon they had finished bricking up the opening, rendering the chimney breast, and the two areas next to the chimney. It looks fantastic! Give it a week to dry out and then they come back to plaster and instal the fire.

Anyone for roasted chestnuts?
