Today Sarah and I decided that we would take the van for a day trip to the beach. Turns out that the run decided to come out and make the day even more enjoyable. We went for a walk, had an ice-cream and walked along the beach for a bit. A nice day a it also got us both a bit more confident in the new toy!
On thursday mum and I went for a tour of the countryside and Breacon. We headed north out of Cardiff along the A470 till we reached the Breacon Beacons Nat park where we stopped for a sight seeing of the spectacular hills and valleys. We then continued till we reached Breacon. We walked around Breacon for a while working up an appetite and also took a stroll along the bank of the River Usk. We bought ourselves some lunch and headed back along the road before we stopped for a picnic. We headed home via Treherbert and some of the valley towns. Mum had the quote of the day when driving through the valleys, 'well I am glad I don't live here!'
After a super surprise last week in london, mum has arrived in Cardiff for a couple of weeks with me. I picked her up from Bristol this morning and just the luck, it started to rain a little when we got back to Wales. As it was only a little shower, that passed quickly, we spent the rest of the afternoon catching up and talking. We then set off for a walk around the parks and fields for a while before the temperature dropped too much checking out the crocus that had sprung forth in the early spring. Mum will have to wait till next week or so till the daffodil's open up.
