Its so cccccoooolllllldddd.

Well I guess that my idea of hoping that the nice mild winter would continue well into Feburary and therefore reaching straight through into summer. But alas not. The weather has actually just gone really cold today, back down to about 3 or 4 degrees. Very cold for me, especially when I have to run a P.E. lesson on the roof of the school building! Yes it was very cold, well not really, but it was really cold for me.

I had a great weekend though. Friday started off with Adele hosting a Burns Night. This is some crazy Scottish tradition where everybody gathers round to eat haggis and drink wisky and read poetry or something. Well i can now say that I have tried Haggis, nothing special there. The other part of the night was supposed to involve reading poetry, which didn't happen, and drinkning whisky, which also didn't happen. It was more of a Russin Burns night with small amounts of Vodka being the poison of choice.

SAturday came around and it turned out to be a Hurclean effort. I had set my alarm to 5:30 am in order to get the early train to Cardiff. It turned out that my alarm didn't work. It caused a bit of a problem. I luckly woke up at 6:20, got packed and dressed and out the door by 6:26 and ran to the tube by 6:30. Wow, what an effort. I ended up making the 7:30 Paddington train with no problems, but my rushed job had cost me in comfort and also a rude awakening. The slow train ride got me to Cardiff around 10:00 and to my suprise when i called Sarah for a lift she was only just waking up. The weekend turned out to be fantastic until I had to leave for London...

Another 4 hour trip to get back to London, twice as long as normal and i got back OK, with only a minor head cold and a great need for sleep.

YAY!

I have accepted a position in the school in Islington, Yay! It means a bit more responsibility and a bit more stability in my wekkeday life. It also means that I may be able to start saving up some money. So, a hoilday in April may be a good idea, or a holiday in the midterm week. I don't really know.

Starting the long road till holidays

Well its only just a week since school went back but it seems like I have been working for a whole year or so. It feels like the school week is going so slow. Good thing is that it is friday tomorrow and that meas que the weekend and a bit of a break for the wekend as well as a visit from the delightful Sarah. Yay!
On the scholol front I have been offered a position in a Primary school in Islington. It is a bit of a different position as I will be supporting a deputy head while looking after the class for the afternoon half of the day. This will involve teaching IPC which involves mostly history, science and basically everything other than engilsh and maths. It sounds like a pretty cruisy position but at the same time someone got wind that I had a small background in sport so they think that I could probably take over that part of the planning as well. Hmmm, i don't really know about this as it will mean a lot more work for the same amount of money, but ill give it a go as it will be an easy position to slot into.

Just Hanging Around

Well the Christmas and New Year period turned out to be a bit more expensive than I had thought so for the next couple of days I think that I will be just sitting round home and watching the TV. A bit boring, but it is the consequence of spending all your money.

Nice and Cosy

Well today is my last day in Wales before I go back to work tomorrow. But I guess that the weather forcast could have been a bit more friendly. I have been waiting for it to snow and much to my dismay it has been a bit of a unlucky waiting game. However today, on my way out of Cardiff the temperature has been forcast to not get over 1 degree and to top it off the weatherman has forecast the first snows of the season, just as I am leaving town. Oh well, I guess that I will not really miss the snows as I am sure that it is bound to snow somewhere.

UPDATE: I just got back from a bracing walk round a park with Sarah. OMG it is really cold when it is nearly freezing. I think that part of my face may have frozen a bit as well as my two big toes.
